Our Story
Hello - we’re Alan & Lindsay Howes - we are Jesus followers and suffering survivors, we want to share the hope, encouragement and strength we have experienced with others in need.
We are from and live in the South East of the UK where we also met and married in 2000.
We have three children - Gabriella 22, Leila 18 and Nathanael 8.
In April 2022 our son Nathanael was run over by our car sustaining catastrophic life threatening head and brain injuries. - a split second accident that has changed our family lives forever.
He was flown by East Anglian Air Ambulance helicopter to a Paediatric Intensive Care Unit and Major Trauma Unit Hospital over an hour away. Nathanael died and was revived twice on that journey.
After 2 major emergency brain surgeries, over 3 months in intensive care, high
dependency, hospital, further surgery and 3 months in a specialist Neuro-rehabilitation Centre for children, he continues his recovery today.
Nathanael is a warrior, he has overcome severe trauma injuries, death and defeat. Despite the every day struggles and reality of injuries that have left him unable to walk and talk (yet!) we still seek to find strength and joy together each day through the strength given us by God.
